Wine, to drink or to eat?

Some of you must be familiar drinking wine or eating foods that cooked with wine. Well, maybe you don’t know if your food contained with wine, but i believe when you dining in a fine dining restaurant  then some of the food might contains wine in it.
We all know that wine had been used in so many events for centuries. In Christian, wine was Jesus’ first miracle. So that makes wine as an old beverage. Well, i’m not going to talk how wine made or how to taste a good wine. I’m going to talk about wine as a cooking ingredient.

Indonesian Foods?

For some people who’ve seen some foods i made, they must be know that most food i made are Western Foods. And Italian foods did dominate them. If you you wonder where i come from, well i was born from mix tribes in Indonesia; Sanger (North Sulawesi) and Batak (West Sumatra). And yes, that made me an Indonesian and my mother tongue is Bahasa.
So, now you might be wonder why did i never cook Indonesia Cuisine? Well, i did. When i was still in my Cooking School. They included Indonesian Foods in the second term along with Asian Foods. I cook some of Indonesian Traditional Foods such as, Ikan Garang Asam (Fish with Sour Coconut Milk Sauce, Rawon (Beef Black Soup), Sop Buntut (Oxtail Soup), Soto Madura (Traditional Soup from Madura, East Java), etc.

Baked Bread with Salmon and Egg

 

It’s recipe time, and i want to share a simple recipe i’ve tried. Here it is…

 

Baked Bread with Salmon and Egg

Prep time: 10 Minutes
Cook time: 20 Minutes
Total time: 30 Minutes
Yield: 1
Ingredients

4 slices Salmon

1 slice Toast Bread

1 Egg

A pinch Leeks (use the green)

Cooking Directions

Heat the oven on 200 degree Celcius.

Brush butter into ramekin to prevent the bread from sticking to the ramekin.

Put toast bread inside ramekin.

Put the salmon above the bread. Make sure to put in circular around the bread to leave a hole in the center.

Hatch the egg.

Bake for 20 minutes or 15 minutes if you want the yolk soft boiled.

Hello, Aglio Olio!

Anyone would agree if i say Aglio Olio Pasta is the simplest italian food to make. Well, mostly because it doesn’t need much ingredients. According to the name, Aglio Olio means Garlic (Aglio) and Oil (Olio). Yes, that’s the basic ingredients you will need to make aglio olio pasta. I’m sure that most of you have both of the ingredients in your house.
